This international program introduces high schools students to possible careers in the Engineering, Science, Technology, and Business fields by engaging and challenging them to reach for new heights. The worldwide non-profit organization allows teams of students to design, manufacture, test, race and market a reduced scale model Formula One car. These engineered masterpieces are launched down a twenty-five meter track powered by a CO2 canister in the back. The top speed of the cars can reach eighty km/h completing their run in the average time of just over one second. A total of 1000 possible points are awarded across a wide variety of competition categories including Engineering, Portfolio & Pit Display, Racing as well as a Verbal Presentation.
